The Central Armed Police Forces(Assistant Commandants) Exam is administered by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) once a year.
The candidates who wish to join the CAPFs i.e. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF),Border Security Force (BSF) ,Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP),Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Sashstra Seema Bal (SSB) as Assistant Commandant can apply for this exam.
The UPSC CAPF-AC is a 3-staged recruitment process including the following steps :
Age Limit: 20-25 years as on 1st August of the year of the examination.
Both males and Females are eligible for CRPF, BSF, CISF, and SSB but for ITBP only male candidates are eligible.
Educational Qualification : Degree of / Appeared in recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
Written Test
- Candidates must score minimum essential marks in Paper I in order to have their Paper II evaluated.
- Upon clearing the written papers,candidates will be called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
- After qualifying the Physical Efficiency Test,candidates will be called for Interview and Personality Test.
